Develop and maintain the tech content of a comprehensive, laboratory research data archive for use by internal and third party research organizations
Ensure all product information is up-to-date, technically accurate, user friendly, and consistent with other product information
Collaborate with science department and other laboratory personnel to gather sufficient information for inclusion into the research database
Research and critically evaluate internal and external primary literature and biological databases, and compile relevant information to support the work of the subject laboratory
Coordinate the acquisition and submission of research data to relevant third party databases
Assist science department and other researchers with grant submissions, and with preparation of papers for publication
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of primary research subject matter through self-study, attendance at training seminars
Review, update, and edit existing documentation for structural consistency, technical accuracy, clarity, readability, grammar, and spelling to ensure that documentation meets company standards
Required Skills
Degree in related discipline from an accredited educational institution
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written); the ability to copy edit and proofread materials
Superior organizational skills; stickler for accuracy with great attention to detail and excellent follow-through
Extensive research skills and familiarity with Internet research tools
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
